The pride of the University of Szeged, the Attila József Study and Information Centre (József Attila Study and Information Centre) celebrated its tenth birthday in December 2014. When it was created, the designers envisioned not only an architecturally outstanding work of art, but also a university service centre.
The centre embodies five functions: conference space, learning space, teaching space, service space and meeting space, as it is also a meeting point for students and visitors, as evidenced by the average daily traffic of 3,500-4,000 people over the last 11 years, 800,000 visitors per year and more than 2,000 events.
The Centre’s 25,000 m2 modern, award-winning building is also a popular venue for international and national conferences, academic and business events, thanks to its downtown location, and the congress area can accommodate more than 1,300 people at the same time. The entire area of the Centre (6 floors) is accessible and air-conditioned.
GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Payment is possible exclusively by bank card. Registration becomes valid only upon settlement of the participation fee.
In the event of an unsuccessful bank card payment, a pro forma invoice will be issued, which can be used to settle the outstanding amount.
By confirming the registration, a contract is concluded between the Customer and the Service Provider, under which the Service Provider undertakes to provide the confirmed services, and the Customer undertakes to financially fulfill the consideration for the services in the manner and by the deadline indicated in the confirmation received.
If a registration category with MFE membership is selected, participants undertake to immediately settle any outstanding membership fee obligations towards the Association.
Please note that MFE membership will be verified, and in the event of failure to pay the membership fee, the registration fee will be modified to the non-member category, and a pro forma invoice will be issued for the difference.
In the case of bank card payment, an ADVANCE invoice will be issued within 5 working days following the date of payment in the form of an electronic invoice, sent from regio10@kulcstavszamla.hu.
The electronic invoice will be prepared using the billing details provided during registration and sent to the designated contact email address.
Following payment by bank card / payment of a pro forma invoice / bank transfer, based on the bank statement and with reference to the pro forma invoice number, an ADVANCE invoice will be issued using the 5% and 27% VAT rates indicated on the pro forma invoice, labeled as ADVANCE.
Pursuant to Section 17 of Act LXXIV of 1992 on Value Added Tax:
- If an amount of money creditable against the consideration is paid prior to the completion of the supply of goods or services (hereinafter: advance), the date of receipt (crediting) of the amount may be considered the date of performance.
- The amount received (credited) pursuant to paragraph (1) shall be deemed to include the amount of VAT.
Based on the above, the invoice for the advance may only be issued after receipt of the amount, as only then does the date of performance become known.
The final invoice will be issued after the event, using the advance invoice. The performance date of the final invoice is the last day of the event.
In the case of transfers from abroad, foreign bank charges shall be borne by the transferring party. If such charges are deducted from the transferred amount, they will be indicated as payable on the final invoice.
Please submit any individual billing-related requests or requirements exclusively in writing at the time of registration, or no later than prior to payment/transfer, to info@regio10.hu.
We are unable to accept billing requests by phone or verbally; only requests submitted via email will be accepted.
Invoices already issued may only be cancelled and reissued upon formal request, subject to payment of an administration fee of HUF 5,000 + VAT.
Cancellation and reissuance of invoices without administration fees is only possible in cases where the invoice was issued due to an administrative error of “RÉGIÓ-10” Ltd.
The payment deadline on the new invoice shall be 8 days from the date of issuance.
PAYMENT DEADLINE
Payment is possible exclusively by bank card. Please note that if payment is not completed at the end of registration, the registration cannot be considered official.
In case of unsuccessful payment: In the case of bank transfer, the participation fee and ordered services must be paid to the bank account indicated on the pro forma invoice sent after registration, by the payment deadline specified (Due Date).
CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION TERMS
Cancellation of registration and/or ordered services must be submitted in writing to “RÉGIÓ-10” Ltd. via info@regio10.hu.
Phone or verbal cancellations cannot be accepted, and failure to settle the pro forma invoice is not considered a cancellation; therefore, please always communicate your cancellation intent in writing.
In the case of cancellation by post, the cancellation date shall be the date of mailing.
Refunds of paid fees are possible in the following cases:
Accommodation: Accommodation may be modified free of charge or cancelled without penalty until the dates listed below. After the deadline, accommodation costs are non-refundable, and the full value of the ordered service must be paid.
- Riva Hotel: April 1, 2026
- Auris Hotel: April 1, 2026
- Novotel Szeged: March 16, 2026
Registration: The deadline for free modification and cancellation of registration and included services is April 30, 2026. After this date, the full value of services included in the participation fee (coffee breaks and/or dinner) must be paid.
Social programs: Free modification and cancellation of social programs (lunch, gala dinner) is possible until April 30, 2026. After this deadline, the full value of ordered services must be paid.
Transfer of registration and accommodation: After the cancellation deadline, registration and accommodation may be transferred. Name changes must be submitted in writing by completing a new registration form and sent to the organizing office no later than May 1, 2026.
For cancellations made before the penalty-free deadline, refunds of paid amounts and refunds due to incorrect or duplicate transfers will be processed within 30 days following the conclusion of the event. Refunds can only be made to the bank account of the payer.
No-show (absence without cancellation):
The organizers make every effort to ensure a successful congress. Please note that services, printed materials, accommodation, and catering required for the event cannot be modified after the specified deadlines. Therefore, the organizers cannot waive payment of ordered but unused meals or participation fees. Following the event, the invoice will be issued using the billing details provided at registration and sent to the designated contact email address.
Participation in social programs:
Please note that participation in lectures, the exhibition, and catering (coffee breaks, lunches, and gala dinner) is controlled via the QR code on the name badge; therefore, please wear your badge at all times.
Registration categories and fees:
Early bird discounted registration fees are valid until March 15, 12:00 PM. After this deadline, full prices apply.
If a registration category with MFE membership is selected, participants undertake to immediately settle any outstanding membership fee obligations. Membership will be verified, and failure to pay will result in reclassification to the non-member category and issuance of a pro forma invoice for the difference.

Accompanying person:
Registration for an accompanying person is required if the accompanying person shares accommodation with a conference participant and/or wishes to attend the gala dinner. This does not entitle the accompanying person to participate in the scientific program. Please note that cancellation and modification terms are identical to those applicable to conference participants.
