Art Hotel Szeged****

The Art Hotel is located in the city centre, in Somogyi Street, directly overlooking the Dóm Square, with a panoramic view of the Dóm Square, and has been welcoming guests since May 2013. The hotel has 71 rooms, all designed for comfort.

The rooms are equipped with a large double bed or two separate comfortable beds. The apartments are equipped with individually controlled air conditioning, free internet access, satellite TV with radio, in-room safe, hairdryer and bathrobe.

The hotel’s modern restaurant offers French and national cuisine, and the drink bar and lobby bar offer a wide range of refreshments. MTA Academical Committee’s Building

In the summer of 1963, the Szeged Academic Committee was given the so-called “Hungária” building at 7 Somogyi Béla Street. The renovation of the building was completed in 1967, but so many researchers were involved that the available building was outgrown by the Regional Committee. After a long period of time, the building was renovated in 1992 and acquired the interior design that still characterises the SZAB headquarters today. Nowadays, the building is used exclusively by the Szeged Academical Committee, which not only organises scientific conferences, reading sessions and academic book launches, but also hosts an increasing number of PhD theses. In addition, the second floor of the MTA Academical Committee’s Building houses 6 double rooms, 5 single guest rooms and 1 apartment (2 double guest rooms with living room).
